Background

My name is Aridane Martín, born in 1989 ( milliseconds ago to be exact) . I'm a web developer based in Gran Canaria, Spain. These days, I spend my time designing and building all kinds of websites and applications, while also working as a Tech Lead / Software Developer at Openbank | Grupo Santander , where I lead the frontend integration of key systems like Pandora, a cash register software for the global market. Continuing my work with 'El Rincón', I had the honor of being chosen once more as a mentor, this time guiding Rodrigo, who claimed victory in the Canary Islands SpainSkills competition in 2025. Together, we prepared for the national stage of this prestigious event celebrating young talent across various professional disciplines.

2024

As part of my work at Openbank, I contributed as a Senior Frontend Developer within the UK Cards domain, where we applied Hexagonal Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to build robust and scalable solutions. Later, I took on the role of Tech Lead in the integration of the Pandora cash register software for the global market, leading the frontend efforts in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment.

2023

I was selected to mentor Kilian Sosa, the winner of the SpainSkills competition in the Canary Islands. In collaboration with 'El Rincón', I prepared him to compete in this national competition that showcases the skills of young professionals in various fields.

2022

I joined Douglas a leading beauty and cosmetics retailer in Europe, as a front-end developer as part of the consulting company Rindus. I was responsible for developing and maintaining the front-end of the company's e-commerce platform in 7 countries (Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, and Spain).

2021

I joined Secret Source, a digital agency based in the UK, as a front-end developer. I was responsible for developing a web app for NOCN collaborating with the design team to implement new designs and improve the overall user experience of the app.

I joined EscolaPort Barcelona, a sailing school based in Barcelona, as a full-stack developer. I was responsible for developing and maintaining the front-end and backend of the company's booking app, ensuring that it is user-friendly, responsive, and visually appealing.
